THE BACKGROUND
In 2020, a national marketing agency with deep roots in the political arena was looking for non-traditional solutions to propel a first-time United States Senate candidate to victory in a battleground state.
THE CHALLENGE
Because the candidate was relatively unknown and had only a modest budget, the agency needed to focus on the “Get Out The Vote” message and in a very targeted manner -- reaching active voters that requested a ballot and party constituents during the Primary election. Given the scarce ad inventory and it‘s high cost during an election cycle, the agency wanted to be confident that the budget would be spent in the most effective way possible.
THE EL TORO SOLUTION
El Toro identified over 50,000 IP-matched voter homes that met the agency’s targeting criteria. El Toro served video advertisements across all devices within the home, during a condensed time frame leading up to the Primary. The candidate won the Primary by an overwhelming majority and later won the general election.
